Cala Santanyi Diving teach PADI recreational dive courses, giving us the support of the world's largest and most widely recognized training agency. The center offers excellent training services with it´s well equipt diving facilities and highly trained instructors. Safety and quality is our first priority, but also convenience - we allow you to work your dive course around your holiday, not your holiday around your dive course.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving allows you to start scuba diving straight away! After a short briefing and an introduction to your diving equipment you will go to our training pool. Your highly experienced instructor will be right by your side as you learn basic scuba skills and techniques. Students will then get the chance to explore one dive at the bay with the instructor´s supervision with a max. depth of 12 meters. Certification is given for this course.
PADI Open Water Diver is your passport to experience the amazing underwater world and dive anywhere in the world. It qualifies you to dive with a buddy independent of supervision, within the limits of your training and experience. Your highly experienced instructor guide you through the course at your own pace, building confidence as you go.We provide a maximum 4 student per instructor to give students more attention for their training.This course is divided into 3 parts:
- Confined Water Dives - Five pool training sessions in our comfortable and convenient training pool will teach you the scuba skills that you'll need to dive safely and enjoyably.
- Knowledge Development - Five theory sessions using an easy to understand book and video and plenty of practical examples from your instructor to help you understand the basics of diving and how to plan scuba dives.
- Open Water Dives - Your four open water dives is where you can practiceyour scuba skills and enjoy the magnificent underwater world. You can experience diving with the boat at a maximum depth of 18m-60ft.
PADI Advance Open Water Diver - If you are an Open Water Diver, this is your next step to increase your knowledge, enhance your technique & maximize the fun in diving. Adventure dives introduce you to new and exciting areas of diving; they are ALL about being in the ocean (not the classroom or pool) and taking part in activities with interest. The student get to choose 5 specialty dive from the following:: Night Dive, Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation, Search and Recovery Dive, Underwater Naturalist, Multi Level Dive, Boat Dive, Adventure Dive & AWARE Fish Identification. After completion of the training, you´re on your way to your higher level of certification.
The PADI EFR Course - This comprehensive program is composed of two core modules: 1. Primary Care - includes CPR 2. Secondary Care - focuses on first aid skills, such as injury and illness assessment.
The courses can be taken together or separately. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections.These relaxed but informative courses are open to anyone and are essential training for divers and non divers alike.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course. This will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level, because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.

The course is divided into three parts:
- Knowledge Development sessions where you will work closely with your instructor to cover - self rescue (because you can't help others if you yourself are in trouble), diver stress, first aid, accident management and dive equipment.
- Practical Session where you will learn different techniques for helping divers in trouble, from tired divers on the surface to unconscious divers underwater.
- Accident Scenarios where you will have the opportunity to put everything you have learned into practice, handling diving incidents as part of a team.
The PADI Divemaster Course is undoubtedly the biggest step a diver can take. The course is wide reaching in its content and will fully prepare you for the role of a professional divemaster. Whether you intend to work as a dive professional or not, there is no doubt that after this course you will have realized new levels of diving knowledge and awareness, learnt valuable lessons applicable in many aspects of life and had an experience to remember for a lifetime! The course is divided into three modules: Knowledge Development, Water-skills and Stamina, and Practical Application.
Knowledge Development Consists of 12 topics: - The role and characteristics of a PADI Divemaster - Supervising diving activities for certified divers - Assisting with student divers in training - Dive theory introduction - Physics - Physiology - Equipment - Decompression theory and dive tables - Divemaster conducted programmes - Risk management - Business of diving - Furthering your dive career
Water Skills & Stamina Includes: Stamina Assessment - Completing four exercises that evaluate stamina, water-skills, each rated by points. Diver Rescue Assessment & Development, Confined Water-skill Demonstration Development - to verify that the candidate can perform the 20 basic dive skills from the PADI Skill Evaluation, and to train the candidate to perform these skills to demonstration quality. Practical Application: During your training, you will be working closely with your instructors in learning how to assist and conduct training dives for PADI Open Water Diver Courses, Discover Scuba Diving programmes, specialty courses and more. >
- Course Prerequisites:
- - Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Hold PADI Advanced, Rescue and EFR certifications - Have logged a minimum of 20 dives to enrol and completed 60 dives in total to certify - Have a good physical ability and provide a doctors medical certification.
